Retargeting wasn’t the problem - irrelevant retargeting was. Curateur, a brand associated with elevated lifestyle standards similar to Rachel Zoe, was investing in retargeting campaigns, but they were contributing less than 20% of total CRM revenue. The issue wasn’t traffic or budget - it was a lack of precision in how audiences were segmented, prioritized, and re-engaged. Most strategies treat all users the same, but not all visitors carry the same intent. Without filtering for high-intent behavior, spend gets diluted and performance stalls. Alongside rebuilding Curateur’s retargeting and CRM ecosystem around intent, WCE also redesigned the website to better support conversion- streamlining the user journey, improving mobile experience, and aligning the visual narrative with the brand’s premium positioning.
The impact was immediate and measurable. Retargeting revenue grew from under 20% to over 49% of total CRM revenue, while overall revenue increased by 167%. Engagement followed the same trajectory, with email open rates doubling from 15% to 30%. The redesigned website further amplified these gains by reducing friction in the purchase journey and increasing conversion efficiency. This wasn’t just an increase in performance - it was a shift in efficiency.
